My Monthly Memories: April

Does anyone else feel like April went buy in like.. a week? Or a day? Because I did. This month was crazy busy with interning, finishing up my thesis and also making time to work out ánd trying to have some sort of a social life. That’s probably why April flew by.

It did feel like a month of accomplishment. I finished my thesis (aka life work), got offered a part time job at my internship, ran 5km for the first time since 2014, and ate healthy for most of the month (still a challenge but I’m doing it).

This might sound weird to some of you, but I actually feel like I sort of, a little bit, have my life together. At least a little more than before. Is this what ‘adulting’ feels like? Don’t get me wrong, I’m still just winging it in most area’s of my life, but less than before. I like that, as I’m a little bit of a control freak.

As I’ve mentioned above, I’ve been trying to eat healthier and more nutritious food. I’m one of those people that can mindlessly eat all day and I will if I don’t hold myself back. So I’ve been trying out healthy recipes, like the one pictured above. One banana + two eggs mixed together. Bake like a pancake and top with cinnamon and/or fruit. Yes, this is the easiest recipe ever and it tastes like banana muffin (but better!)

I’m also trying to eat less sugar. I used to be the kind of person that would put three teaspoons of sugar and a bunch of creamer in their coffee. Not anymore! I’ve officially transitioned to drinking black coffee only and I like it. The black coffee at Starbucks is surprisingly good and I recommend it.

I hope to hang out with more of my friends in May (and take more good pictures, lol), now that I’m less busy with work and school. I also want to continue eating healthy and incorporate more yoga into my workout routine.

  1. It seems as though the days, weeks and months go by so fast for me. So, I resolved to keep a daily journal of who, what, when, etc. It’s good discipline for me and kind of interesting to read what my days look like. I too am trying to give up sugar. Black coffee is surprisingly good or with a splash of almond milk. Happy Saturday!

    1. Happy Saturday! You just inspired me to try daily journaling! I try to write a longer entry once a week or so, but I think it’s good to get some thoughts on paper every single day :). I’ll have to try almond milk in my coffee!
