My monthly memories: February

My Monthly Memories is a blogging event created by Basant She. This event is a way of keeping a collection of everything you’ve been going through, what you’ve experienced and what you’ve learned.

I’ve been thinking about doing monthly reflection-type posts and when I got invited for this blogging event by the blogger I’ve mentioned above I couldn’t say no!

February has been a busy but productive month. I started the last semester of my degree (!) and with that, my last internship, which I am really enjoying so far. It feels good being back in the office, constantly learning new things and developing myself. I intern at a local broadcasting company which is a side of journalism I haven’t had any experience with before.

After being in doubt about it for more than six months, I’ve finally decided to apply for university!  That means I’ll be starting at a new school after I graduate this spring. Classes won’t start until September, but I’m already excited to start.

The eReader I bought at the beginning of February turns out the be the best purchases I’ve made in a really long time. It’s just so compact and comfortable to read on. I definitely recommend one to everyone out there who shares my love for reading but also travels often. If you’re curious about my thoughts, I wrote an entire post about my lovely new friend.

I wanted to make sure to do fun things next to interning 40 hours a week, so I met up with friends and co-workers in the evenings and on the weekends. One of my co-workers needed a fancy dress for a wedding (we ended up buying cupcakes, obviously) so I went shopping with her and helped her choose a lovely one. I also met up with one of my best friends that I hadn’t seen in a while. Oh, and I shouldn’t forget the cocktails!

In March I’ll continue my internship and start my thesis. One of my friends and I have planned to visit Amsterdam and I hope to come back with a few nice pictures and some writing inspiration. I’m excited about the upcoming month! What about you?

  1. Thank you so much for joining, I genuinely appreciate it! I wish you the best of luck with your final semester as well as your decision with further studying, something I think is very admirable. Oddly enough, I’m also possibly going to Amsterdam again as well so that’s something we should both be quite excited about. Thanks again for joining and I hope to see you in the coming months as well, it’s always lovely to keep up with the lives of the blogs I enjoy reading generally 🙂
